Aflac

Saving money and the environment

At Aflac Incorporated Worldwide Headquarters, employees work hard to serve the company’s millions of customers worldwide, but the insurance provider also works hard to be a good steward of the environment, which is why Aflac is promoting clean commuting through a partnership with The Clean Air Campaign. Aflac encourages its employees to use commute alternatives, which in turn reduces air pollution and traffic congestion, ultimately improving quality of life for employees and neighbors alike in the Chattahoochee Valley.

Aflac became one of the first Columbus employers to join forces with The Clean Air Campaign in 2008 because of its desire to help employees save money on their commutes, which average about 37 miles roundtrip. Soon after the program launch, the company – and its employees – found that the benefits extended far beyond savings on gas.
