Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual to use their skills to promote a commute option program that improves the environment, reduces traffic and saves commuters and employers money. The Employer Program Manager (EPM) is responsible for designing, implementing and growing commute options programs for large employers in the Augusta area. The EPM’s primary duty is to work with employers in their home area to promote commute options programs and make them available to their workforce. This includes providing services, materials, and administering incentive programs at no cost to employers to encourage workers to carpool, vanpool, ride transit, etc., rather than commuting alone in their vehicle. The EPM will also work with employers as needed to establish telework programs and compressed work week schedules. Activities will also include other complimentary strategies to improve air quality, including establishing no-idling zones around schools through the Clean Air Schools program and or no-idling policies for employers with diesel fleets and operations.

The EPM will work from a home office, and will have flexibility to determine their own work hours up to 20 hours per week, as coordinated by the Director of Employer Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Minimum five years of experience conducting outreach and/or calling on clients in the Augusta area, where relationship development was critical. Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, with little or no supervision. Results oriented. Must have a home computer with broadband or DSL type connection to the internet.

Experience working with the military and with chambers of commerce would be a plus. Existing relationships with key business leaders in your area a big plus. Familiarity with Georgia’s air quality issues and with transportation demand management (TDM) also a plus.
